Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and Blockchain promise to address a number of challenges related to cybersecurity, e-privacy or data integrity faced by heterogeneous IoT cyber physical systems and cross silo data driven business models. IOTA Tangle is an open source DLT fit for the IoT. The presentation will introduce the technology, its innovation ecosystem and provide use case examples across e-infrastructure, data confidence fabrics, decentralised data marketplace and applications across energy, mobility, real estate, smart city, supply chain, telco, eHealth and more.
The IOTA Foundation (www.iota.org) is the international not for profit organization behind the IOTA Tangle, an open source, environmentally friendly and scalable Distributed Ledger Technology beyond Blockchain fit for the Internet-of-Things, Digital Trust and the Data economy. Launched in 2017, the organization now brings together more than 130 staff from 23 countries and a growing ecosystem of partners from enterprises, startups, academia and researchers alongside a vibrant open community of developers.
